Baby Shower!

My first niece arrives in a few months. I am throwing a shower for the expectant couple next weekend. The theme is Dr. Seuss- Hopefully it will turn out pretty cute (photos to come afterward)!

I designed the invitations using some "Seussical" imagery, and modifying it a bit to fit for a baby girl.

The invitations were printed 5"x7" flat, two-sided and came out really cute.

These were a lot of fun to make and play around with. As you can see, the front is the Cat in the Hat, with a hot pink hat, and the back is taken from "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"
 

Here are some photos of the food and what not that was up at the party. I wish I could have taken more pictures of the actual party and the games. Alas, a hostess' work is never done. It was a lot of fun and the games were a hit!

The cupcake tree... Funfetti cupcakes with vanilla creme frosting. There were star bellied Sneetches, clovers (from Horton Hears a Who), Thing 1 and Thing 2, Daisies (Daisy-Head Mayzie) and Cat in the Hat hats.

 

Cheese in Trees of Trees of Cheese... Not from a book, I just didn't want to set out a 

plain old cheese tray!

 

Pink Ink Yink Drink was our drink for the party (from One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish).
